What is therapy for?

Sometimes it helps to talk to someone in confidence. Counselling and therapy
are for anyone who wants some space to talk and be heard.

General self-development
Some people use therapy for self-development. They might use it to increase
their self-awareness, to make decisions or to build self-confidence.

Coping with life
Some use therapy at times when they feel unable to cope. They may feel
depressed and anxious, alone and challenged by life's circumstances.
Memories of the past, painful events in the present or worries about the future
may stop them enjoying life, or achieving what they want to.

Feelings of anxiety or foreboding
Some people experience feelings of anxiety or foreboding, which interfere with
their enjoyment of life or their ability to work or socialise.
